(PHILA., PA, January 11, 2010): Philadelphia Weekly is re-launching the Happy Hour Guide application for iPhone users as a free service, available immediately for download on the iTunes store. PW's Happy Hour Guide for iPhones was developed based on the popular online version available at www.philadelphiaweekly.com/drink. The iPhone application contains much of the same data, featuring happy hour listings by geographic location. The application also allows users to tweet friends, search by neighborhood or day of the week, and boasts a call-a-cab feature with several local cab company listings.

"This app puts the user at the center of the experience, and surrounds the user with information hyper-relevant to them."

- Keith McGinnis, MIS Manger at Philadelphia Weekly

The happy hour specials are edited by PW staff daily. Users can give a tip or any comment via the Feedback button in each bar's listing. It is a priority to offer the most up-to-date information available for our users.

PW's Happy Hour Guide was previously launched as a paid application in early November 2009. The decision to become a free application was based on user feedback and market demand. Prior to becoming free, 50 percent of users used the application 5-9 times, while 16 percent used in 10-24 times in 60 days. An average of 6 people downloaded the application per day. More users downloaded the application on Wednesday than any other day of the week!

In the next few weeks, Review Publishing will launch a similar mobile application for AC Weekly in response to the growing popularity in Philadelphia. This application is expected to be available before spring. Review Publishing publishes AC Weekly, South Philly Review and Philadelphia Weekly.
